Service Dogs Logo Design
We wanted a logo that shows that you’re independent when you’re with your dog; that highlights the human animal bond in a deep soulful way.
The logo is a combination of 1+P to show the concept of ‘1 Person,’ with a dog as the counter (white space of the letter), so to re-read would say ‘1 Dog.’ This also shows the close bond and commitment between the person and the dog, so close that without either of them, the letter/shape would not exist.

The dog’s silhouette draws the eye down to read the lettering, while the left half of the 1, hints at a floppy dog ear, or a tail. This same section of the shape also feels like it’s pointing up, increasing the emphasis on the person and dog, the most important part.

This perfectly matched person and dog is what everyone is working for, so the logo is the biggest – but is still in community with its name in lettering.
A mix of straight pointy lines, and smooth organic lines on the logo, and a contrast of bold and regular typefaces for the lettering create a kind of dynamic push/pull feeling that keeps the eye moving around.
The logo can also be a symbol for independence, designed to stand alone and be shown without the lettering. For the times when we just want to use a logotype, we can replace the P in Paragon with the logo.
The look is modern, approachable, and friendly, with a legible font and bold shape that will be easy to screen print and embroider. Its simplicity shows sophistication, and creates a style that isn’t too trendy to look dated in a few years.
It also feels weighted, with a solid foundation, giving donors and volunteers the peace of mind that you’re established, committed and are here to serve the community for years to come. Their time and dollars will be well-invested.
